KNOWhereToGo is divided into ten (10) regions with three to seven states in each. Each region begins with an overall view of the states in that region on a single page and includes distances between interstate intersections and the mile markers of each intersection and state lines. The mile markers in parentheses represent two numbers, the lower interstate number's mile marker shown first (ie I-76 versus I-81). Mile markers are also given at the point an interstate crosses a state line. The mile marker resets to 0 at each state line. With a few exceptions, mile markers increase from west to east for even numbered interstates and north to south for odd numbered.
Facing each regional map is a page listing mileages (1) between cities within the region to major cities outside of the region, (2) between cities
within the region, (3) between connectors within the region, and (4) between cities in the region and connectors in the region.
