KNOWhereToGo is a unique travel atlas that uses the mile marker system designed for US interstate highways to plan a trip and easily locate destinations along the route of a trip.
Conveniently Sized
KNOWhereToGo is designed to be carried in your vehicle. It allows you to plan and then easily follow your trip as you drive. The atlas measures 8.5" x 11" inches and is spiral bound to lie open on the seat of your car.
Mile Marker System
KNOWhereToGo maps include mile markers for interstate intersections, exits of major US and state highways, city exits, state line intersections, and all exits with motel/hotel and restaurant services. The Map Legend shown to the right identifies the symbols used throughout this guide.
Calculate Travel Time and Distance
The distance between your location (mm post) and your destination (mm from KNOWhereToGo map) in miles translates to minutes (at 60 miles per hour). Thus, you can easily follow your trip, calculating distance (time) to various destinations along the way whether they be cities, interstate intersections, state lines or exits for motel/hotel and restaurant services.
Multiple Detail Levels
KNOWhereToGo maps are sized on different levels of enlargement for easy viewing depending on the amount of detail shown. The states are divided into ten regions (3-7 states per region). An overall view of all regions is displayed on two sets of facing pages including miles between interstate intersections. Each region begins with the region on one page, adding mm's for interstate intersections and state lines. Then the region is enlarged to multiple pages (from two to five) to increase detail, adding mm's for many cities, US & state highways, rest areas, service plazas (toll roads) and belt-ways around some major cities. Metro areas around large cities are enlarged and also included. Motel/hotel and restaurant services are shown in tabular form at the end of each region.
